Yamaha India recently launched the all new Yamaha FZX 150. The bike has been on testing for a long time and now it’s finally on roads. There were rumors that the FZX will replace the Yamaha FZS models but it did not. Moreover, it launched as a new series in the FZ-series.
The authorized distributor of Yamaha bikes in Nepal is MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. They are planning to launch a few new bikes in Nepal soon. Where, FZX might be one of them as well. So, let’s check out the full specifications, features and price of Yamaha FZX in Nepal with its availability.
Yamaha FZX Overview
The all new FZ-X has a new design which is a street fighter look. First thing to notice is the headlamp. It comes with an LED projector headlight in a Circular lamp fitting. The circular lamp has LED DRLs in it. It gives a classic-retro design. Also, it doesn’t get any wind visor like in Yamaha MT-15. The tail light is also LED with oval-shaped.
Moving on, the tank and seat distance is perfect to provide the rider an upright position. The foot peg is also centered with the body so that riders can comfortably rest their feet. And body parts are mostly plastic made which which defines it being a lightweight machine. Further, the padded seat texture gives a better grip. The rear pillion seat looks comfortable too with grab rail around it. Moreover, FZX weighs 139 Kgs only.
Yamaha FZX comes with a 149 cc 4-stroke, 2-valve, BS6 compliment engine. It is a single cylinder, air cooled, SOHC engine. And it can generate a max power of 12.4 PS @ 7250 RPM and max torque of 13.3 Nm @ 5500 RPM. The other 150 cc segment bikes of Yamaha have similar torque and power.
Further, the fuel tank capacity is 10 liters only, which is kind of okay for a 150cc bike. And the company claims that it gives mileage of 40-45 Km/l. Also, this machine comes with a FI (Fuel Injection) system. Moreover, it comes with a 5-speed manual transmission gear box and has only a self-starter.
Wheels and Suspensions
The FZ-X comes with 17-inch Aluminum alloy wheels both front and rear. And the front tire measures 100/80-17” M/C 52P size tubeless. Similarly, the rear comes with 140/60-R17” M/C 63P tubeless tires. Tire segment is the same as the Yamaha FZ-S V3. Further, it is built with a twin telescopic fork at front and the rear is built with mono cross suspension with 7-step adjustable.
Braking and Miscellaneous
The front and rear both are provided with disc brakes. And the front disc measures 282 mm in diameter with 2 calipers. And the rear disc measures 220 mm in diameter. Further, for safety, it is provided with single channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) at front.
FZX features a fully digital console with all necessary indicators. ODOmeter, trip meter and fuel level are all digitally shown in the console. It is available in three color options: Matte Copper, Matte Black and Matte Blue. It comes in both variants: with and without Y-connect.
