Yamaha Nepal has been launching the new variant of Yamaha FZs V3 Fi in Nepal. They first came up with basic variant with single-channel ABS. Yamaha FZS V3 Overview
The available models of Yamaha FZS V3 are: Standard, Standard with ABS and Deluxe.
Design
The all three models of FZS-FI V3 has the same design with slight graphics changes. However, a LED tailight can be seen on the Deluxe model. It features a double partition headlamp with halogen DRL bulb. The leading low beam light is the big one, and above one is the high beam. There is a small wind visor above the headlight. Then the fuel tank has the changed graphics. Besides this, there are no noticeable changes to the design and looks.
It is a proper street bike with an upright rider position. The footpeg is also centered with the body to be comfortable in a good place. Body parts are mostly plastic made which defines the weight of the bike, i.e., 135Kgs (2Kg less than the previous variant). Further, the rear pillion seat looks comfortable with a grab rail around it.
Engine
Yamaha FZS-FI V3 comes with a 149 cc 4-stroke, 2-valve, BS6 engine. It is a single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC engine. This engine can generate a max power of 13.20 PS @ 8000 RPM and max torque of 13.3 Nm @ 5500 RPM.
Morever, it uses FI technology. It also features a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox and has only a self-starter with a multi-plate wet clutch.
Further, the fuel tank capacity is 12.8 liters (same as the previous variant) which is enough for a street bike. The company claims that this bike can give a mileage of 40-45 Km/l.
Wheels and Suspensions
The FZS V3 comes with 17-inch Aluminum-alloy wheels, both front, and rear. The front tyre measures 100/80-17” M/C 52P size tubeless. Similarly, the rear has a 140/60-R17” M/C 63P tubeless tyre. Further, it is built with a twin 41 mm telescopic fork at the front. The rear is made with mono cross suspension with a 7-step adjustable.
Braking and Miscellaneous
The front and rear both are provided with disc brakes. The front disc measures 282 mm in diameter, and the rear disc measures 220 mm. Further, it is equipped with a single-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) front for safety except the Standard model.
FZS V3 FI features a digital console with all necessary indicators. ODO meter, trip meter, and fuel level are all digitally shown in the console. It is available in four color options: Matte Red, Matte Black, Dark Matte Blue, night, and Vintage Green. It now features a side-stand engine cut-off sensor too.
