Xiaomi officially launched the two new smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in its mega event. The handset brings in new technology in a refined form factor and is the big brother of Mi 11 Pro, which is already a powerful 2021 flagship. Lets’ learn about the specs features and expected price of Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in Nepal along its availability.

Design & Display
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has exactly same display as the Mi 11 Pro, so you get a quad curved 6.8-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED screen on the front. It has a QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus as the Pro model. Also, it supports Dolby Vision and bags DisplayMate A+ certification.
The phone comes in just two color options – White Ceramic and Black. Both the colors look very premium. The camera covers almost the entire upper half of the device and comes in black colored housing. The housing consists of three cameras along with a secondary display. The company says the main purpose of this secondary screen is to capture high resolution still selfies. However, this screen also shows you the notifications, battery level, weather, health alerts, provide music control and other essential information.
In the meantime using this secondary screen, the Mi 11 Ultra also supports the ‘wilderness survival mode’. It can turn off all the background and main apps viewing and utilizes only tiny screen to give you up to 55 hours of additional standby time.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is IP68 certified as well, meaning it is dust tight and can be submerged under 1.5m (5 ft) of water for half an hour.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has many things in common with the Pro version but one of the biggest difference is in their camera departments. Though the phone uses a same Samsung GN2 super –outsole main camera, it has upgraded other two cameras with Sony IMX586.
The Samsung GN2 is a 50MP sensor that comes with 61 degrees FOV with a very sharp focus and features 64 point laser array focus system. Similarly, the Sony IMX586 is a 48MP sensor, one of which is ultra-wide camera and other is tele macro camera. The ultra-wide camera has 128-degree FOV whereas the tele macro camera comes with 5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. All three cameras are capable of capture 8K footage.
Xiaomi said at the event that the brand has worked hard on the Ultra Night Photo algorithms which gets you clear and colorful photos even when the lighting goes down. Judging from the samples, the company directly compared the Mi 11 Ultra’s camera to a Sony RX100 M7 compact camera. According to the Lei Jun the handset can win 90% of the samples compared to Sony RX100 M7.
The Mi 11 Ultra can capture 8K videos from all the 3 camera sensor. Also, this phone can shoot with all three cameras simultaneously utilizing the triple ISP of the chipset.
With this setup, the phone managed to score 143 on DxOMark, making it the best smartphone camera setup surpassing Huawei Mate 40 Pro+.
Performance and memory
Like Mi 11 Pro the Ultra also comes with Snapdragon 888 with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1. Thus, we can expect top notch performance. Similarly, the company has attached a new three phase cooling system. You also get Wi-Fi 6 Enhanced support with this smartphone.
Battery and Miscellaneous
The massive 5,000 mAh battery powers the handset which supports 67W fast wired and wireless charging. Both of them can fill the battery to 100% in just 36 minutes. The handset also supports 10W reverse charging.
Moving on the phone has stereo speakers tuned up by Harman Kardon and carries a Hi-Res Audio certification. Unfortunately, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack but it comes with Bluetooth 5.2 on board for wireless headphones.

Currently, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is available in China but soon it will be available globally. The handset will go on sale from form April 2nd in China. The phone is available in three variant 8/256GB, 12/256GB and 12/512GB for CNY 5,999, CNY 5,499 and CNY 6,999 respectively.
