Vivo has a plethora of smartphones offering fifth-gen network support. The company has added a new midrange 5G smartphone in India: Vivo Y72 5G. It is the first 5G-enabled Y-branded smartphone for the Indian market. The smartphones pack features like a 90Hz display, Snapdragon 480 chipset and more which we’ll go through in a minute along with its expected price in Nepal.
Before that, don’t get confused with the global version of Vivo Y72 5G launched back in Thailand. The Indian version brings some significant changes. Moreover, the Indian version is a rebadged version of the Vivo Y52s (t1 version) that debuted in China back in May.

Display and Design
The Vivo Y72 5G flaunts a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The teardrop notch boasts a screen to body ratio of 90.6%. It is an FHD+ panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels. This screen offers a 20:9 aspect ratio.
The handset measures 164.2 x 75.4 x 8.4 mm and weighs 185.5g. The frames feature a straight line and slightly curved edges. On the right side of the frame is a volume rocker and a power key, which is embedded with a fingerprint sensor. The back panel features a rectangular camera module and is covered in a 2.5D smooth back cover. It is available in Prism Magic (blue) and Slate Grey colours.

Performance and Memory
At the helm is a Snapdragon 480 chipset. It is an entry-level 5g chipset based on an 8nm fabrication process. The graphics are handled by an Adreno 619 GPU. Further, it pairs with 8 GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Luckily, you can expand the storage up to 1TB via MicroSD card.
Handling each and every operation of the handset is an Android 11 OS. Similarly, it is topped with FunTouch OS 11 also.
Camera
Vivo has provided the handset with a total of three cameras. For selfies and video calls, the handset makes use of its 8MP front camera with an f/1.8 aperture.
Meanwhile, the rectangular camera module packs a combination of a 48MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth camera. Also, the camera housing encloses a LED flash.
