Design

The iQube has a very traditional scooter design. It looks similar to other petrol engine scooters. Starting from the front, it has long elongated LED headlamp where side indicators are attached in the same housing. It looks more like a LED stripe light than a headlight. The fairing of the dashboard looks similar to NTorq’s fairing. There is similar looking LCD console from the Ntorq itself.

The handlebar looks comfortable, and it includes a start button, side indicator switch, ride modes button, horn button and a high-low beam switch. Moving on, the body design has a huge seat and body which contains an under-seat storage unit. The seats look quite comfortable for riders and pillion as well. There is a grab rail behind the seat for the pillion rider to grab it. The footrest area is also big, where riders can rest their feet easily

Under the belly body, it contains three lithium-ion batteries and the motor of the scooter. It comes in white colour only. Moreover, it weighs 118 Kg only.

Performance

TVS iQube is powered by three lithium-ion batteries. It has a power rating of 2.25 kWh. It gets fully charged in 7 hours, where 80% gets charged in 5 hours only and uses a 5A charging socket. The battery comes with dedicated BMS (Battery Management System). And the company has a 3 year or 50,000 Km warranty on the battery. One full charge can provide 75 Km of range on eco mode. If one rides 30 Km a day, you won’t need to charge for up to 2 days.

Moving on to the motor of the scooter, it is equipped with an optimized motor hub. And it has a peak power of 4.4 kW. TVS ensures to give a silent motor hub with minimal loss in power transmission. So, iQube electric can capture a speed of 40 from 0 in just 4.2 seconds. Also, the motor is IP67 rated for water and dustproof. Moreover, it can generate 140 NM of torque.

The company claims it has a top speed of 78 Km/h at sport mode. It has two riding modes: Eco Mode and Sport Mode. Moreover, one full charge can provide a range of 75 km on eco mode.

Suspension, Wheels and Brakes

The iQube uses a telescopic fork suspension on the front. The rear one is a hydraulic twin-tube shock absorber, it comes with a tubeless tire both front and rear. Each wheel comes in measure 12 inches and has 90/90 sized tyres. The ground clearance is 150 mm, which is enough for a scooter,

About braking, it has disc brakes on the front wheel and a drum on the rear. The front disc measure 220 mm in diameter with piston callipers. Similarly, the rear drum brake measures 130 mm in diameter.

Interestingly, it is a smart scooter with TVS Smart X Connect, allowing riders to connect their smartphones with the scooter. This will allow navigation assist to be shown on the console, track down where you parked your scooter through mobile itself using Geofencing. While a smartphone is connected to your scooter, you will also be shown the incoming call details on the screen console. This will also help you in keeping the statistic report of your scooter/ bike on your smartphone.

Features and Miscellaneous

TVS iQube features a fully digital TFT LCD console with necessary indicators. They managed to keep a USB charging port inside the storage unit. So, you can charge your smartphones using scooter power. Users can access features like navigation assist, range, charge status, ride statistics, geo-fencing and Overspeed alert, all from SmartXConnect.

TVS iQube Price in Nepal and Availability

In India, TVS iQube was launched with INR 1,08,012 on-road price, where the Ex-showroom price was INR 1,29,893. They have now cut down the price to INR1,00,777 on-road price.

We can surely expect this electric scooter to launch in Nepal as electric motors market is rising day by day in Nepal. So, we can expect TVS iQube price in Nepal to be around NPR 2.4 lakhs. And it is available in white colour only.
