TVS recently launched its all-new TVS Jupiter 125. They are heading for the legacy of the Jupiter scooter. This time it is bigger than the older version along with better and powerful performance. Also, TVS’ slogan for the scooter is “ZYADA SE BHI ZYADA” which goes for “More than Extra”.
TVS has been updated with their products recently. We have seen the RT-FI Ntorq Race in India and also the new 125-cc bike TVS Raider. And also, they have updated the TVS Apache 160 4V recently.
Expecting for Nepal, TVS Nepal might launch this TVS Jupiter soon. So, let’s take a quick look around with the scooter’s specifications, features, and expected price of TVS Jupiter 125 in Nepal with its availability.
TVS Jupiter 125 Overview
The all-new Jupiter 125 looks to have a masculine body type. It is bigger than in dimensions and has a contemporary design. This scooter got a new stylish LED headlight on the front. Also, a small visor above the headlight gives a more stylish look. Looking from the front, it has chrome side mirrors. Then the side indicators are similar to older ones but with slight changes. Talking more about the lights, it has an elegant tail lamp on the rear. One thing to notice on the rear is the reflector on the grab rails.
Then checking the handlebars and dash cluster, it has a semi-digital cluster. The digital cluster shoes, time, fuel indicator, mileage, ODO meter, and trip meter. Then there is ignition on the lower pod and a USB charging port for charging smart devices. TVS has kept the fuel filling on the front pod rather than under the seat. This also managed to increase the under-set storage. It might be the first scooter that can store two helmets in the same storage unit.
This one has a large seat as we saw on a Suzuki Burgman 125. The seat looks quite comfortable and the seat height is also optimum which is 790mm where one can easily step on the ground. And this scooter weighs 108 kg only.
TVS Jupiter 125 is powered by a 124.8-cc engine which is a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, and air-cooled engine which can generate a max power of 8.1 PS @ 6500 RPM and max torque of 10.5 Nm @ 4500 RPM. It is an ET-Fi (Eco thrust Fuel injection) system with a closed-loop. TVS developed this ET-Fi and RT-Fi system based on BS-VI engines.
Moreover, Jupiter 125 has a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) automatic transmission. It has a fuel tank capacity of 5.1 liters. And it can provide a range of 30-35 km/l.
Dimension, Suspensions, Wheels and Brakes
This scooter has a length of 1852mm where width and height are 681mm and 1168mm respectively. Moreover, it has 790mm of seat height where the wheelbase is 1275mm and ground clearance of 163mm. As mentioned earlier, this scooter weighs 108 kgs only.
On the front, it has a telescopic hydraulic suspension where the rear is provided with a Monotube Inverted Gas-filled (MIG) shock absorber. The alloy wheels on this scooter look great with the design.
And it comes with 90/90-12” 54J tubeless tires on both front and rear wheels. It is available in three models of braking: Disc, Disc, and Drum and Drum. The disc measures 220mm in diameter where the drum measures 130mm in diameter.

It features a semi-digital cluster that shows, fuel mileage, fuel indicator, ODO meter, modes, and many more. USB charging port and an external fuel filling. Moreover, it has a side stand sensor where a rider will be notified with an alarm.
