Tecno Spark 7 Pro with Helio G80 SoC launched in India

Tecno Spark 7 Pro Overview

Display and Design

The Tecno Spark 7 boasts a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole design. Tecno calls it a dot display and the panel delivers a 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ screen resolution. Additionally, the panel supports 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate offering greater touch inputs and smooth display experience. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio with a 268ppi pixel density. Likewise, the handset offers a screen space of 89.5 percent.

The smartphone comes in an Alps Blue, Spruce Green, and Magnetic Black shade with a metallic finish. However, the body is made of plastic but looks premium.

Around the back there’s a long strip for the camera module housing a triple camera setup with quad-LED flash and with AI and Spark branding. Apart from that the back looks clean with a finger print sensor located in a convenient position.

Performance and memory

The Tecno Spark 7 Pro is driven by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor. The chipset is based on a 12nm fabrication process leveraging innovative dynamic, HyperEngine and resource management technology for a faster response and quicker frame rates.

Moving on the smartphone is offered in two storage variants. The base variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built in storage. Similarly, other options are available in 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. Also, the phone features a microSD card slot for additional storage.

Camera

The Spark 7  Pro is equipped with an 8-megapixel front camera with dual flash. The flash light is adjustable, enabling only one.

The rear camera setup comes with a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, an AI lens, and a quad-LED flash unit that allows you to take good images and videos in both day and night.

Further, the 240fps slow-motion footage helps users capture smooth movements for the perfect action shot. Besides that, the rear camera supports Video Bokeh, AI Video Beauty, 2K QHD recording and other video modes enabling one to capture their story. Likewise, there are time-lapse mode, smile shot, super night mode, night portrait and eye auto-focus as well.

Battery and Miscellaneous

The Spark 7 houses a generous 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. According to the company it provides a standby time of up to 34 days, 35 hours calling time, 14 hours of web browsing, 7 days’ music playback, 15-hour game playing and 23-hour video playback.

However, the battery comes with AI features like AI power saving, full charge alert and automatically cuts off power when the phone gets fully charged to avoid overcharging.

For security, the phone comes with face unlock 2.0 and smart fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, the handset comes with usual features like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 with audio sharing, GPS, microUSB, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
