Suzuki has launched a new powerful scooter, Suzuki Avenis 125 in Nepal. The all-new 125 cc scooter is ready to roar on the roads. The Avenis 125 is a performance-driven sporty scooter.
Suzuki scooters and bikes are imported into Nepal by VG Automobiles. Adding to its portfolio is a new 125cc scooter Avenis. It is the third scooter from Suzuki Nepal and is the most expensive one. Is it worth the price? We will get to know it in this article.
Suzuki Avenis 125 Overview
The all-new Suzuki Avenis 125 in Nepal offers a lot, but feels lacking. So, this scooter has both pros and cons. First, VG Suzuki Nepal has imported only the standard version of Avenis in Nepal. The race edition has not entered Nepal yet. So, let’s check the detailed specification of Suzuki Avenis scooter in Nepal.
Starting with the design and looks, it looks very much different from other models of Suzuki. Yet people have criticized it by comparing it with TVS Ntorq 125. The Avenis does look pretty similar to Ntorq’s design. Despite that, if you look twice, you will also get Yamaha Ray ZR 125 in the thoughts.
Avenis has a sporty look. The LED headlamp is parted into two parts. The side light indicators are placed at the handle pods. There is adequate room for leg space. The seat is broad and soft, comfortable for both rider and pillion. Under the seat is enough booth space to fit in a standard helmet and some documents.
The side body is all plastic fiber built with a sturdy finish and sporty looks. The footrest for pillion riders is adjustable. Similarly, grab rails are beside the pillion seat, ideally placed for grabbing. If you look between the two grab rails, there is the external hose for the fuel tank. So that rider won’t need to jump off the scooty to fill the fuel.
Back to the front pod, the digital LED console meter has a multi-function display. The handlebar has an integrated engine start and kills switch on the right side. Not missing the tail light, it has a sporty double parted tail light.

Engine and Transmission
Regarding the performance, Avenis Suzuki is powered by a 125-cc engine which we have witnessed in Access 125 and Burgman 125. The engine can generate 8.7 PS at 6750 RPM with a max torque of 10 Nm at 5500 RPM. It is a 4-stroke, SOCH, 2-valve engine with a 1-cylinder. This 125-cc engine has a standard air-cooling system. Moreover, it is a FI (Fuel Injection) engine.
Suzuki Avenis 125 comes with the CVT Transmission type. The scooter has a fuel tank capacity of 5.2 liters. Likewise, this FI engine has both kick and electric starter systems. Similarly, Avenis can provide a mileage of 35-40 Km/l.
Dimension, Suspensions, Wheels, and Brakes
Moving on, the scooter has an overall length of 1895 mm, a width of 710 mm, and a height of 1175 mm. The seat height is 780 mm, with a wheelbase of 1265 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm.
The front suspension is the telescopic fork, whereas the rear suspension system comes with a single shock absorber connected to a swing arm.
Then moving to wheels, it comes with a 12-inch alloy wheel on the front and a 10-inch on the rear. The front wheel is inbounded with 90/90-12 size tubeless tires on the front and 90/100 size tubeless tires on the rear. The rear tire is radial tubeless, whereas the front is standard tubeless.
For the brakes, the front wheel is provided with the disc brake, and the rear is provided with a drum brake. The braking system provided is the standard one.
Features and Miscellaneous
To note, the Avenis 125 comes with a few eye-catching features. The scooter is provided with an external hinge-type fuel cap at the tail. There are separated indicator lights on the rear (just like on motorbikes). The front dash has a USB charger and a pocket to carry small items. One another important feature is the side stand cutoff. Meaning the scooter won’t start when the stand is engaged. Some other pre-talked features are massive storage under the seat, a multi-function LED console, and an integrated start and kill switch.
For the mentioned price range, the scooter comes with fewer features. Also, the standard version launched in the country lacks a Bluetooth connection. In contrast, in this market, Ntorq has a model with a Bluetooth connection option at a lower price tag.

Two vehicles are compared in mainly two ways, performance and features. Compared with its main competitor Ntorq in terms of performance, Ntorq does have more power than Avenis. But Avenis might have more real-time mileage. Also, Ntorq is available in different models differing in specs. So, Suzuki Avenis might be better than the base model of TVS Ntorq in terms of features, but if compared with the top-end model of Ntorq, Ntorq wins in this comparison. If you also check the pricing, the top model of Ntorq is the RTFI BS6 model, which costs NPR 2,95,900, which is four grand less than Avenis’ price.
