Noise Cancelling
Similarly, like its predecessor, Sony WH-1000XM4 also comes with QN1 HD Noise Cancelling Processor. Each earcup has dual microphones which capture the noise and proceed to the processor. Then there is the new Bluetooth Audio System integrated on Chip which detects noise and music at over 700 times per second. After, the QN1 uses all the information to react with real-time noise cancellation.
Technology
The WH-1000XM4 has the DSEE Extreme technology which uses Edge AI. This will emulate the audio for upscaling the compressed sound source. Edge AI is capable of observing the different sounds of instruments, music genres, and other components of sound in real-time. Then it builds up the lost sounds for the entire devotion action.
Sound Control
The headphone comes with Adaptive Sound Control which regulates the ambient settings, totally based on the user’s surroundings. Also, it can remember the locations that are visited often. This results in the auto adjust of the settings accordingly to place. Users can also set their own favored locations and corresponding settings using the Sony Headphones Connect App.
New Features
Sony has also announced a new feature called “Speak to Chat”. This will allow users to have normal conversations without even taking the headphones off. This feature will recognize the user’s voice and as they start speaking, the music will stop automatically. Later the music will only be continued 30 seconds after the user stops talking. Another new feature is called “Quick Attention” where users can put their hand on the right earcup just to reduce the volume. These new features will be helpful when having small random conversations and making an announcement.
Other features
Sony WH-1000XM4 Headphones also features Precise Voice Pickup technology which controls the five microphones built in the headphone. This uses advanced audio signal processing which helps in delivering clear voice quality while on hands-free calls. Headphones also come with Google Voice Assistant support and Amazon Alexa support. Sony WH-1000XM4 now also supports 360 Reality Audio, wear detection and capable of pairing with two devices at the same mean time. The headphones assure to provide a battery backup of up to 30 hours. Similarly, it comes with 10 minutes of quick charge which brings additions of 5 hours of playback time.
