There is nothing new about the Galaxy M02. it’s just the rebranded version of Galaxy A02 which was launched in Thailand last week. It packs the same 6.5” PLS TFT LCD panel. The Infinity V notch display has an HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio.

Moving on, the handset is wrapped in a polycarbonate body with a capsule module for the camera. Similarly, the body has a textured design for a comfortable grip. It comes in four colors namely, Denim Black, Denim Blue, Denim Gray, and Denim Red.

Camera

As for optics, the handset comes with a dual rear camera setup. The 13MP sensor here is the main camera accompanied by a 2MP macro camera, aligned vertically. Just below it is a LED flash. On the front is a 5MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the handset features a MediaTek’s MT6739W SoC paired with 2GB or 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Latter can be expanded up to 1TB with a microUSB port. Similarly, the handset boots on Android 10 based One UI rather than the latest Android 11.

Battery and Miscellaneous

The Galaxy M02 packs a massive 5,000mAh battery which can easily last for the whole day. You will get the standard charger for charging the handset. Other notable features of the handset are dual SIM, 4G, VoLTE, single band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GNSS (GPS, GLONASS), grip sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The handset received its first sale in India on February 9 starting INR 6,999 for 2/32GB and the 3/32GB is priced for INR 7,499.

Similarly, the Galaxy M02 has launched in Nepal for a starting price of Rs. 11,999. The 3/32GB variant costs Rs. 12,999. Both the variant are available to purchase from the authorized retail store (offline/online) in the country.
