Samsung recently launched a brand new budget smartphone: Samsung Galaxy M01. It was launched along with Galaxy M01 core, the cheapest entry level smartphone from Galaxy M-series. Display and Design

As M01 is a budget handset, it comes with a decent design. The rounded display corners with notch for the camera and the thick chin. It comes with a 5.7″ PLS TFT LCD display panel having 720 x 1520 pixel HD+ resolution. The aspect ratio is 19:9.

The back panel has a matte finish available in three different colors Black, Blue and Red. There’s a pilled shaped dual camera module with a LED flash on the rear. Also, the Samsung branding is there. Moreover, the rear panel has the speaker implemented on the left bottom.

Camera

The rear panel has a dual camera setup with a primary lens of 13 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It comes with autofocus and can shoot FHD videos at 30fps. The second camera is of 2 MP depth sensor having f/2.4 aperture. Similarly, the front camera has a 5MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2.

Performance

The handset is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset. It consists of a pair of ARM Cortex A53 clocked at 1.95 GHz max. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Internal storage won’t be enough, so it can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD card. It operates on One UI 2 running on Android 10.

Battery and Miscellaneous

The device features a 4000mAh battery which will run for a long time. It is an LTE phone, it supports Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2. GPS and GLONASS are supported for positioning. It is build with microUSB 2.0 port for charging. And it also comes with Samsung Health app pre-installed, which can monitor health every minute.
