In Thailand, Samsung Galaxy A02 got launched. We did saw the Galaxy A02s last year and also the Galaxy A01. It’s obvious that the Galaxy A02 is a budget phone which will be cheaper than the A02s. Display and Design
Starting with the display, the handset features a 6.5-inch Infinity-V display. The infinity V notch handset has a HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Whereas its aspect ratio is 20:9 and has 270 ppi density.
Around the back, there is a dual camera setup hosted inside the capsule camera module. Below the camera module, a LED flash is provided. However, the design and placement of volume rocker and power buttons are on right side as usual. This budget phone has a bottom speaker grill along with 3.5 mm headphone jack port.
Camera
Moving on, the dual camera setup holds a 13 MP primary sensor and two 2 MP macro sensor. The primary sensor has a aperture of f/1.9 and support auto focus. Whereas macro lens has aperture of f/2.4. LED flash is provided below the lenses.
Looking at the front, it houses a 5 MP sensor for selfies. This sensor has the f/2.0 aperture. Rear camera is capable of capturing 1080p video at 30 fps. But front can’t capture videos.
Performance and Memory
In the heart of Samsung Galaxy A02 lies an entry level MediaTek MT6739W chipset. The chipset comes with an octa-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and PowerVR GE8100 GPU. The chipset has decent performance. However, it is not suitable for gaming.
The memory configuration available are 2GB + 32GB, 3GB + 32GB and 3GB + 64GB variants. Storage can be expanded up the 1 TB of storage using microSD card. Most importantly, it works on the Android 10 and One UI 2.0 operating system by Samsung itself.
Battery and Miscellaneous
Fueling the device, it comes massive 5,000 mAh battery, which features 7.75W charging support. It is non removable Lithium-Polymer battery. As other entry level smartphone it comes with a micro-USB port.
For connectivity, the phone has features such as 4G LTE, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi b / g / n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS + Glonass and micro-USB port. Talking about the sensor, the phone has an accelerometer, grip sensor and proximity sensor.

Samsung Galaxy A02 Price in Nepal and Availability
Galaxy A02 has recently been launched in Thailand. Its initial price is 2,999 THB (Thailand’s currency), i.e. around NPR 11,700. This price is set for the 3/32 GB variant of the phone. So, we can expect the price of Samsung Galaxy A02 in Nepal to be around Rs. 12,000.
This budget smartphone has also been introduced in variants with 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage with 3 GB RAM. However, the price of these variants has not been revealed yet.
However, user will be able to choose between four color options; Denim Black, Denim Blue, Denim Gray and Denim Red Color.
