Google is launching its latest mid-range smartphone dubbed as Pixel 4a in the coming months. The smartphone is the successor to the Pixel 3a launched a year back in the Google I/O. We already have ideas about most of the specification of smartphone as it appeared in a video last month and today some new details is here.
The Google Pixel 4a will be built around in a plastic body with OLED screen of 5.81”. The screen will have 2340×1080 pixel resolution with a punch-hole in the top left corner, hosts a front facing camera of 8MP resolution having 84 degree field of view.
The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC with 6GB of RAM. While on the storage side it might arrive in two variant of 64GB and 128GB. The smartphone will run on Android 10 out of the box and gets Android updates for three years.
Surprisingly, the device will come with a single 12.2MP primary camera following it’s’ predecessor. The camera will be placed in a rectangular housing along with a LED flash and comes with autofocus and OIS/EIS.
To record a video with a rear cam you’ll get five different options 1080p at 30 FPS, 1080p at 60 FPS, 1080p at120 FPS, 720p @ 240 FPS, and 4K @ 30 FPS. Also, front facing camera will allow recording on 1080p @ 30 FPS.
The model will feature 3,080mAhbattery with 18W fast charging which draw power via USB-C port. As it is midrange device no Qi Wireless charging will be available. Other specification includes 3.5mm headphone jack and Now Playing – the new google assistant.
Pixel 4a is rumored to have a price tag of $399 and it’s unclear when it will be launched. It might be available in two color – Just Black and Barely Blue. Before it was expected to launch at I/O 2020, but the event canceled due to pandemic. But, we expect it anytime in the next month.
