Redmi Note 10S launched with Helio G95 and AMOLED Screen launched in Nepal

Xiaomi has added another device in its popular Redmi Note 10 lineup in Nepal. The Redmi Note 10S is the third device of the lineup to launch in the country. Other smartphones in the lineup includes the Redmi Note 10, and Note 10 Pro (Max). However, the newly launched phone is basically the Redmi Note 10 with a different processor, upgraded primary camera and a minimum of 6GB of RAM. Display and Design

Redmi Note 10S device flaunts a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display which produces 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+) resolution. This display comes with a standard 60Hz refresh rate however it gets 180Hz touch sampling rate. The centered punch hole 8-bit display has a peak brightness of 1,100 nits and 409 PPI screen density. Likewise, the panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, features a 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer.

Moving on, the back and the frame of the smartphone are made of plastic though they do look like glass and metal respectively. The gradient finish back comes in Deep Sea Blue, Frost White and Shadow Black finishes. Similarly, the handset is IP53-rated for splash resistance.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the phone houses a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC. It is the only phone in the lineup to house a MediaTek processor. The chipset couples with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Further, the chipset comes with MediaTek’s HyperEngine technology which promises better management of resources for excellent gameplay.

Moving on, it is the only phone in the lineup to come with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box. It is the second phone, other than the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, to ship with the latest version of the MIUI out of the box.

Camera

As for cameras, the back panel packs a total of four camera lenses. It consists of a 64MP f/1.79 primary sensor, an 8MP 118° ultra-wide unit, and two 2MP gimmicky cameras for macro and depth. The main camera has a sensor size of 1/1.97” which produces individual pixel size of 0. 7µm. This setup is capable of recording 4K footage at 30fps.

Meanwhile, on the front is a 13MP snapper inside the punch-hole with AI Beautify. It can record 1080p footage at 30fps.

Battery and Miscellaneous

Keeping the lights on is a generous 5,000mAh battery. It supports 33W fast charging via USB Type-C port. And the best part is the charger comes included in the box.

Other features of this smartphone include dual stereo speaker system, 3.5mm headphone jack, Hi-Res Audio certification, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, z-axis linear vibration motor, infrared sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, 360° ambient light sensor and gyroscope. Lastly, for connectivity, the handset supports dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GNSS.
