Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 10 5G series in China. The lineup includes two devices, namely Redmi Note 10 5G and Redmi Note 10Pro 5G. Let us take a detailed look at the specs, features, availability and expected price of Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G in this article.
Redmi Note 10Pro 5G Overview
Display and Design
The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is a totally different phone than the Redmi Note 10 Pro available in Nepal. This smartphone is different in terms of design with better features than its 4G counterpart. However, all of these come with a sacrifice of the AMOLED display. Yes, the 5G variant lacks the AMOLED display available in the 4G variant.
The 5G model boasts a 6.6-inch LCD panel with a FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The handset keeps the 120Hz refresh rate alive with 240Hz touch sampling rate. Here the refresh rate is variable which means it can dynamically switch refresh rate between different usage conditions. This will effectively save the battery life of the phone. The refresh rate transitions between 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz based on the content.

Further, the screen supports the DCI-P3 color gamut. It has a typical brightness level of 450 nits. Moreover, the display carries centered punch hole design with minimal bezels. Besides that, the phone comes with Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass.
The smartphone uses a flagship premium design, measures 163.3 x 75.9 x 8.9mm in dimensions and weighs 193g. It comes in three color options –Magic Green, Moon Soul, and Star Yarn. Interestingly, the first two color options come with a 3D stereoscopic texture whereas the later has shining particles that mimic starry night. Additionally, the smartphone is IP53-rated for splash resistance.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, the smartphone features a latest MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC based on a 6nm process. This chipset comes with 4 x Cortex-A55 clocked at 2.0 GHz and 4 x Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz. The chipset is coupled with a 9 core Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. The CPU comes with integrated 5G modem that supports dual 5G Sim, Wi-Fi 6 and Peak downloads speed goes up to 4.7Gbps with an upload speed 2.5Gbps

Apart from that, the phone comes with a quadruple VC (vapor chamber) cooling system, graphite, thermally conductive gel, and copper foil to keep the device cool. The cooling system offers a heat dissipation area of 16370mm² which effectively reduces the core temperature by 11℃. This is the first device from Redmi to come with VC cooing technology.
Furthermore, the smartphone packs 6/8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 flash memory. Similarly, it operates on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.
Camera
In terms of optics, the Note 10 Pro 5G comes with a 16MP selfie camera and a triple rear camera setup. The rear setup utilizes a 64MP f/1.8 primary lens, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens with 120° FOV and a 2MP macro camera.
Battery and Miscellaneous

Keeping the lights on is a generous 5,000mAh battery with support for flagship level 67W fast charging. This phone uses a dual charging chip with a dual wing layout and features a battery health management system. It makes the Redmi’s Note 10 Pro 5G the first Redmi device to come with a battery health management system. Redmi states that with this charging rate this phone gets fully charged within 42 minutes. Further, the handset ships with the Xiaomi Mi 67W charger in the box with a smart adaptable current and temperature control.
As i have already mention the device comes with dual 5G support and Wi-Fi 6. But not only that, it features Bluetooth 5.2, NFC 3.0, and GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GALILEO, GLONASS, QZSS) and all the essential ports and sensors, such as USB Type-C, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, 360° ambient light sensor, gyroscope, ultrasonic proximity sensor, compass, and infrared sensor. But unfortunately, the device lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack and MicroSD card slot.
Lastly, the Note 10 Pro 5G comes with Hi-Res-certified JBL-branded dual stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, 3 microphones, X-axis linear vibration motor, and a RAZER keyboard just like the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.
