Recently, Xiaomi launched Redmi AirDots 3 Pro in China. It is the upgraded version of AirDots 3. AirDots 3 Pro features ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). And this is the first TWS earbuds by the company to feature ANC in it. So, let’s dive into the specs, features and expected price of Xiaomi Redmi AirDots 3 Pro in Nepal along with its availability.

Design

First thing first, AirDots 3 Pro comes with an oval shaped charging case. The charging case has a LED indicator on the center of the face. The design is similar to the old lineups of AirDots. And the buds don’t have a stem, so it comes in an in-ear design.

Moving on, the buds come with IPx4 rating for water and dust resistance. It is available in two color options: Black and White. Each earbud weighs 4.9 grams and the charging case weighs 55 grams.

Audio and Noise Cancellation

In terms of sound quality, the Xiaomi Redmi AirDots 3 Pro features a 9mm dynamic coil driver. And it comes with four adjustable sound effects.

Xiaomi promises one of the best levels of noise cancellation on the AirDots 3 Pro. It comes with three mics in it and can reduce up to 35dB of noise. Also, Xiaomi Air 2 Pro TWS headphones can reduce 35dB of noise but with hybrid noise reduction.

Here, the three mics help in picking up the optimal voice and cancel the noises. Thus you can seamlessly switch between your smartphones and notebooks, making the experience more intelligent. The TWS earbuds can also be connected with two devices at once.

Moreover, it has a feature to automatically switch modes between depth, mild and balanced noise reduction. All depending on the surrounding sounds with the help of an AI system in it. Also, there is a transparency mode which helps in enhancing the human detected voice. For users to communicate easily without taking off the buds on noisy surroundings.

Connectivity and Controls

For connectivity, the Xiaomi’s latest ANC earbuds comes with Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity which has connection range up to 10 meters. It also helps in simultaneous connection between two separate devices. And the dual connection has the same mean time.

Similarly, it supports Bluetooth Low Energy, HFP, A2DP, AVRCP, and SPP, Qualcomm AptX Adaptive dynamic codec protocol. Also, there’s an ultra low latency feature with the 69ms latency range.  It is perfect for gaming as it delivers lag free experience.. Most interestingly, it can automatically activate the low latency mode by opening a game. But unfortunately it works on compatible Xiaomi Mobile phones running over MIUI 12 or later.

Meanwhile, for controls you can use gestures for taking calls and controlling media. Long pressing on left or right earbuds will switch between noise-canceling and transparency modes.  Likewise, a double press will answer/hold calls and play or pause the music. Similarly, the triple press will reject calls and stop the media. Moreover, it also comes with inbuilt voice assistance.

Xiaomi AirDots 3 Pro is said to offer 28 hours of standby time when the ANC is disabled and volume is at 50%. Similarly, listening to music only will last for 6 hours with the same settings. And 3 hours when you are on call with ANC turned off.

The case can be charged via USB-C port or even with Qi wireless charging. As the earbuds support fast charging, it takes less than 1 hour to fully charge. Further, the charging case can be fully charged in 2.5 hours approx. Lastly, the battery capacity is 35 mAh in each bud and 470 mAh in the charging case.

The AirDots 3 Pro was launched in China for CNY 349. For now, the company is selling it for CNY 299 as it is up for pre-order.
