Realme Buds Air resembles more with Apple AirPods, like most other TWS in the market. It takes inspiration from Apple’s AirPods. Moreover, it looks exactly like its elder sibling the Realme Buds Air. It is made of plastic with a smooth and glossy finish. They are lightweight and each earbud weighs just 4.1 gm.

The charging case also resemble to Apple’s AirPods case. The charging case is compact which seems comfortable to hold and weighs a shade over 30gm. It has a Micro-USB charging port at the bottom, a pairing button and light indicator at the front. Similar to Realme Buds AIr, opening the lid of the case powers up the earphones and putting them away and shutting the lid power off them.

The earbuds are IPX4 rated for water resistance, which makes it perfect companion while in the gym. The Buds Air Neo is available in White, green and red color variant.

Sound Quality

The Realme Buds Air Neo equipped with 13mm large driver along with R1 true wireless chip. Realme says that R1 chip offer better connectivity along with dual channel transmission. It also features Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB) solution created by Realme’s Acoustic team to deliver quality bass experience. However, it fails to deliver heavy bass. Moreover, it offers decent sound quality.

Connectivity and Controls

The Realme Buds Air Neo comes with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity with support for SBC and AAC codecs. Similarly, Google Fast Pair lets you connect the earbuds to your smartphone reducing the number of steps needed to get connected. Further, you can use protocol to find your earbuds by making them ring loudly within the Bluetooth range.

The touch sensitive zones on the earbuds lets you control it. It can be customized as per your requirement via Realme Link App. You also need the app to activate the voice assistant feature, which is disabled by default. Also, the app lets you see the battery percentage.

Battery and Miscellaneous

Realme claims that the buds can last for up to 17 hours of playback time. The charging case packs 400mAh battery which can charge the buds for up to 4 times. The LED glows red when it is low on charge.

Furthermore, the low latency mode present can reduce the latency by 51%.
