Realme 8 debuted in India with a brand new design and features along with its Pro sibling on March 23rd, 2021. It is the successor to the last year’s Realme 7 but it isn’t a big jump. Now, it has finally launched in Nepalese market too. Let’s find the detail specs, features and price of Realme 8 in Nepal along its availability
Realme 8 Overview
Display and Design
The Realme 8 features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ display just like the Pro version. The touch sampling rate is 180Hz however, lacks high refresh rate. Though there’s no high refresh rate, people will like the fact it comes with a Super AMOLED display. Likewise, the panel has a peak brightness of 1000 nits and in-display fingerprint reader.
The handset uses a polycarbonate back and frames with a glossy finish and split design. It comes in two beautiful color options of Cyber black and Cyber Silver. Here, the area below camera module and the slogan shines a lot in different lights. The camera module looks exactly like the ‘Pro’ variant. The phone is slim and light with just 7.99mm thickness and 177grams.
Performance and Memory
The Realme 8 is driven by MediaTek Helio G95 gaming chipset. It is the same chipset used in its predecessor. The SoC is an overclocked version of Helio G90T. As it a midrange phone, it doesn’t have a super strong processor however, PUBG mobile runs fine with it. Realme has also assed a copper liquid cooling technology to discharge heat from the processor and deliver peak performance. Ironically, Helio G95 will performs better in terms of gaming than Snapdragon 720G used in the Pro version.
The phone is available in single storage configuration of 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. But thankfully, you can choose between three different LPDDR4x RAM; 4GB, 6GB and 8GB. The phone ships with Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
Camera
The optics is one of the differentiating factors between the Pro and the Non-Pro version. In vanilla version 64MP sensor leads the setup (doesn’t come with a 108MP shooter). Other lenses in the setup comprises of 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP B&W lens. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter from Sony.
Though it doesn’t feature headline grabbing 108MP sensor, it acquires some of the features of Pro model. You can enjoy Tilt-Shift Mode, second-gen Starry mode, Neon portrait, dynamic bokeh, dual-video, and many other features.
Battery and Miscellaneous
The Realme 8 gets a juice from a slightly bigger 5000mAh battery as compared to 4500mAh in the Pro version. Also, it comes with 30W Dart charging instead of 50W. Realme says that it can recharge from flat to full in just 65 minutes. The phone features a triple card slot, a Hi-Res Audio Certified headphone jack and dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1. However, the company has dropped the infrared and NFC.

Realme 8 Price in Nepal and Availability
The Realme 8 is available for purchase in India. And the price of base variant (4/128GB) is set to INR 14,999. Similarly, the 6/128GB and 8/128GB will cost you INR 15,999 and INR 16,999, respectively.
The Realme 8 price in Nepal is set at NPR 35,990 for 8/128 GB variant.
