Realme 7 stepped into Nepalese market along with the Realme 7i. It is the successor to the successful Realme 6 and the predecessor of Realme 8. As Realme 8 has officially launched in the country, the price of Realme 7 has been dropped to Rs 32,900 (previously 35,990). It is a member of Realme 7 series which includes 7, 7 Pro and 7i. Here we’ll go through the specs and features of this discounted phone.
Realme 7 Overview
Display and Design
The handset brings 6.5” Full HD+ IPS display with 1,080×2,400 pixels resolution. Apart from that, it comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. Likewise, the panel is protected by a sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the top left corner, there’s a circular cut-out for a selfie camera.
Realme 7 brings a fresh design for the back. The handset features a mirror split design, which creates some interesting patterns when light hits it. The rear camera module has a slightly different design compared to the Realme 6. Similarly, there’s a straight line across the camera bump which divides the panel into different color schemes.
Like the Pro variant, the handset comes with quad-camera setup on the back. The phone comes with a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor with f/1.8 aperture. Keeping the company are an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with 119-degree field of view and two 2MP modules. They are dedicated for macro shots and depth data.
On the front, the phone brings 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.1 lens. The sensor is capable of shooting 1080p footage at 30fps and 120fps slow-mo footage.
The handset is the first phone to debut with the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC. This is an updated version of the Helio G90T, seen in Realme 6. However, it’s not a major upgrade. The only real change is the integrated Mali-G76 GPU which has a higher clock speed of 900MHz. The G95 is an octa-core chip based on a 12nm process with two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 cores.
It is available in two memory configurations- the base variant has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage whereas the second variant has 8GB of RAM with double the storage. Here the RAM is LPDDR4X and storage is based on UFS 2.1 flash storage technology.
Battery and Miscellaneous
Backing the handset is a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W Dart charging. It runs on Android 10 and Realme UI on its top. For security you have a side mounted fingerprint sensor.
