Qualcomm has been in the smartphone market for very long, not directly (till today) but supplying essentials to other mobile manufacturers. However, now the company wants to join the fleet and has launched the first smartphone under a Snapdragon Insiders Program. Qualcomm Snapdragon Insiders Phone is an output from the collaboration between Asus and Snapdragon.
Qualcomm smartphones for snapdragon insiders, as the name suggests aren’t for a regular user. It is exclusive to Qualcomm’s Insider program. However, we will discuss the expected price of the Snapdragon Insiders Phone in Nepal along with its specs and features.

Display and Design
To begin with, this smartphone for enthusiasts is designed by Asus. So, it carries a few aspects of ROG phone 5. The smartphone includes a 6.78 inches Samsung AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution. Likewise, it doesn’t miss out on the high refresh rate i.e.144Hz.
Similarly, the panel has a 1ms rate, a Delta-E less than 1 and boasts a peak brightness of 1,200 nits with HDR10 and HDR 10+ certification. Also, it covers 111.23% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and has Gorilla Glass Victus in tow.
Further, there’s no cutout in the screen for a camera and settles for traditional bezels to host a camera sensor. Around the back is a horizontal camera bump with a red accent. You will also find a Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2 fingerprint sensor and an Illuminated Snapdragon fireball icon at the rear.
Performance and Memory
The phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC in its core. It isn’t a surprise but the phone gets outdated as soon as the Snapdragon 888 Plus reaches the market. Anyway, Adreno 660 handles the graphics. Also, the phone flaunts a Snapdragon Elite Gaming, Variable Rate Shading and Game Quick Touch,

Camera
For its camera, the device offers a triple camera setup on its back. A large 1/1.73” Sony IMX686 sensor with 0.8 µm pixel size is used as a primary camera. It has an On-chip-lens PDAF, 4-axis OIS, and instant camera switching. An IMX363 sensor capable of taking 12MP shots with real-time distortion correction is there for ultra-wide shots. It also doubles as a macro lens.
Finally completing a strip is an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 4-axis OIS, and an 80mm focal length. The phone has AI auto zoom and can record 8K/30fps videos using the primary camera. Likewise, the secondary camera max out at 4K/30fps videos.
Wait, did I miss something? A front camera, right? For good looking selfies and video calls the phone packs a 24MP camera with a 27mm focal length.
Audio
Qualcomm ships the phone with dual stereo speakers. One speaker faces the front while the other is on the side. It comes with a smart amp and is the first phone with support for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound technology.
With this phone, you can stream 24-bit 96KHz audio wirelessly and listen to in-game audio without lags wirelessly. Also the phone ships with a pair of premium active noise cancellation Master & Dynamic TWS earbuds.

Fueling the whole package is a 4,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 5. The battery is quite smaller compared to today’s standard however, it supports 65W charging and the 65W adapter is included in the box.
Besides that, is a dual 5G SIM support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi Direct, and NFC.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon Insiders Phone comes with a hefty price tag of $1,499. This is more than the price of an iPhone 12 Pro Max. However, this phone brings more things than other phones in the market. It will hit the shelves starting this August. And as said earlier this is an enthusiast phone and will be available for the participants of the Qualcomm Insider program.
