Update: Poco F2 Pro is launched!
The predecessor Poco F1 announced back in August 2018 has now got companion – the Poco X2. Thanks to the remarkable hardware and specification at low price tag offered by Poco F1, made an impression in people’s heart. Now, it’s another attempt from the company to produce high-performance, low budget phone announced as Poco X2.
As predicted Poco X2 is a rebranded version of Redmi K30 by Xiaomi available in Chinese market. X2 is powered by Snapdragon 730G SoC with MIUI 11.0 out of the box and Android 10 at the top. The smartphone comes with three variant: 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB of memory configuration.
The snapdragon 730G featured X2 has a liquid cooling technology which Poco claims can dissipate heat 300% faster. It features a side-mounted finger print reader and the volume rocker just above it. The smartphone is powered by 4.500 mAh battery and has USB-C port for 27W fast charging.
The RealityFlow 120 Hz refresh rated X2 has a 6.67’’ 20:9 1080p Full HD+ LCD screen. The device supports HDR 10 and has a punch hole in the top right corner for the Selfie cameras. A 20 MP camera coupled with 2 MP depth sensor are packed for good selfies.
Poco X2 becomes the first phone in India to feature Sony’s 64 MP IMX686 sensor and backed by 8 MP ultra wide, 2 MP macro and 2 MP depth sensor. Raw images are supported by the smartphone, also can record 960FPS slow motion videos with inbuilt VLOG mode.
IR Blaster, P2i water-repellent coating, VoWiFi and HI-Res Sound are the rest of the features included in Poco X2. It is available in three colours – Atlantis Blue, Matrix Purple and Phoenix Red.
Poco X2 priced in India at INR 15,999 ($225/€205), INR 16,999 ($240/€218) and INR 19,999 ($280/€255) for base model, mid-ranged model and premium model respectively.
Competition ||POCO X2 vs REALME X2
Realme is the tough competitor for Xiaomi (the leading smartphone vendor in India). Poco is attempting to draw a direct comparison between its X2 and the X2 from Realme.
Snapdragon 730G Soc can be found as the chipset in both the handset. Poco has a bigger battery, bigger screen and a sensor from Sony rather from Samsung. Dual selfie camera in inhoused in Poco X2 whereas a single unit of camera is present in Realme X2, and 27W charging that a company claims than Realme’s 30W charging. Also the price tag for Poco is lower compared to Realme (i.e. Poco’s 6GB/64GB at INR 15,999 and Realme’s 4GB/GB at INR 16,999).
Thus, Poco X2 is best value for money over Realme X2. It will be available on Flipcart from noon of 11th February in Indian market. However, the global availability of this phone is unknown.
