Poco Smartphone Back in 2018

Back in 2018, we saw Poco for the first time in Nepal as a sub-brand of Xiaomi. Poco F1 was launched exclusively via Daraz 11.11 Sale Day. Also, it was the first year daraz held this event. Moreover, following continuously for the third year, the Daraz 11.11 2020 sales day is also near.

When Poco F1 was launched it was a massive success which resulted in the system crash down of Daraz Online shopping. However, Poco made its fans before the launch which is the reason for the system crash down. Later, daraz managed the system with updates and sales started again. Also, Poco F1 got available at the authorized retail stores.

Mainly, Poco F1 got the popularity because of the chipset. It came with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 which is rare to get that chipset at that affordable price. The two RAM variants: 6 GB and 8 GB were available with storage variants of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. The Adreno 630 GPU can give a smooth experience over graphics and games. In addition, it came with a liquid cooling system which grabbed the attention of gamers. Later, it was also known as a budget gaming phone.

Poco F1 was mostly loved by youngsters and youths who got this smartphone as a gaming phone.

About new Poco Smartphone

Recently, Xiaomi Nepal’s General Manager, Mr. Saurabh Kothari tweeted and posted a photo of him wearing a “POCO” labeled t-shirt. He captioned it by “नमस्ते नेपाल! 🙏 #POCONepal“. Later, the same tweet was seen on the official account of Poco Nepal.

So, we can expect some new products from Poco finally this year. However, to confirm that, POCO Nepal official Facebook page posted a new post today. Mentioned “Are you Read?”

Which Poco phone can be Launched?

The first Poco smartphone that we can think of is Poco C3. Poco C3 is a budget smartphone with MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. This chipset provides a smooth experience over gaming as well. It comes with a 6.43-inch screen and is available in 3 and 4 GB of RAM variants. Paired with 32 and 64 GB internal storage respectively. Poco C3 is highly compared with Redmi 9C which has the same chipset and looks similar in design.

Other smartphones we can expect are; Poco M2, Poco M2 Pro and Poco X3. The Poco M2 Pro was launched in July 2020. It comes with a midrange gaming chipset Snapdragon 720G. It has the 5000 mAh battery as the Poco C3.

Poco M2 can also be one of them. It has the 6.53-inch FHD+ display. The device runs on Helio G80 chipset which is best in the mid range segment. It has the 5000 mAh battery with the support of 18W fast charge.

Poco X3 is the latest model from Poco. This one is also taken as the flagship killer smartphone. It has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset; best for gaming on mid-range phones. It comes with 64 MP quad camera setup on rear. Front has a 20 MP selfie lens. Dual speakers help to provide fine stereo sounds. The 5160 mAh battery has the support of 33W fast charge.

So, rounding up, Poco is best on providing budget midrange smartphones with possible top segment specs. Moreover, I think Poco will maintain the market and brand name with the upcoming smartphones as well. I personally would be happy if Poco Nepal would manage to bring Poco F2 Pro as a flagship killer at an affordable price.
