Oppo Reno 6 5G Launched with 90Hz display, 65W Fast Charge and Dimensity 900 SoC

Oppo Reno 6 5G launched in India along with Reno 6 Pro 5G and Reno 6 Pro Plus. The company built these smartphones with MediaTek’s Dimensity chipset. Reno 6 5G is the base model and launched as a mid-range smartphone. So, we will go through the specs, features, and expected price of Oppo Reno 6 5G in Nepal along with its availability.

Display and Design

The Reno 6 features a 6.43-inch display with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It is an AMOLED panel with 409 PPI pixel density and has 430 nits typical brightness with 750 nits brightness. Also, it has an HBM (High Brightness Mode) of 600 nits. We have seen this feature on the Google Pixel phones before. Further, it supports a 90Hz of refresh rate giving you a smooth display experience. And has a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz with SGS Eye Care Display Netflix HD Certification.

Oppo worked very well with this series of smartphones. It has an optical in-display fingerprint scanner that recognizes fingerprints faster than previous models. Moreover, it has a punch hole set up on the top left corner of the phone. So, the bezel around the display is much thinner, even the chin is thin.

Moving on, the shape somewhat looks like tried to copy from iPhone 12 series. Meaning, it has flat sides like an Apple iPhone 12 series. Around the back, there’s a rectangular camera housing that enclosed a triple-camera setup and a LED flash. Moreover, Oppo worked in the fingerprint-proof finish which they call Oppo Reno Glow. Performance and Memory

Focusing on the performance, Oppo used MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 chipset which makes this smartphone in India be the first one with it. It is an octa-core chipset based on the latest 6nm production process. It further pairs with ARM Mali-G78 MC4 GPU and is 5G supported.

Then it is built with 8 GB of RAM which Oppo has made it possible to extend memory up to 5 GB. And it is paired with 128 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. More on the performance section, it has a multi-cooling system that helps to keep the device cool. Likewise, the handset operates on Android 11 on top of ColorOS 11.3 out-of-the-box.

Camera

For cameras, you get a linearly aligned 64 MP sensor as a primary one and an 8 MP ultrawide lens as the secondary one. The third one is a macro lens of 2 MP. Similarly, on the front is a 32 MP sensor placed on the punch hole setup. You will see a small white dot below the LED flash on the rear module. It isn’t a camera but is a color temperature sensor.

Plus, charging it for minutes can provide 4 hours of video playback time. Here, the smartphone also has super power-saving mode and super night-time standby mode.

Lastly, for connectivity, the handset packs a Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, Dolby Atmos, NFC, and a USB Type-C 3.1.
