Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G goes official in India on 19th January, 2021. This smartphone was announced on December 10, last year. Whereas the handset received its first sale on January 5, 2021. The handset features a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. The panel supports 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution and comes with 90Hz refresh rate. It has 20:9 screen ratio and 402 ppi density. The punch hole display boasts 92.1% screen to body ratio. The panel also have 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and up to 180Hz of touch sampling rate. Similarly, the handset comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the display can be bright typically from 500 nits and maxes out to 1100 nits
Moving towards the design of the handset, overall looks is quite similar with the last year’s Reno 4 Pro 5G model. From front, there isn’t any difference but the rear panel has some slight change over camera module. Camera module on Reno 5 Pro holds four camera lenses. Whole rear panel is glass built and the body is aluminum built. Both front and rear glass is protected by Gorilla Glass.

Reno 5 Pro comes with 4 camera lenses where primary is a 64 MP 26 mm wide lens with f/1.7 aperture. The second lens is of 8 MP ultra-wide shooter with f/2.2 aperture and 115-degree field of view. Rest two camera lenses are of 2 MP, one is macro lens and another is depth sensor. The cameras supports features like professional mode, portrait mode, night scene mode, panorama, EIS, 60fps 1080p slow motion video shooting and 30fps 4K video recording. Furthermore, module contains a LED flash.
On front, selfies and video calls are handled by a 32MP front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. It support for gyro-EIS, portrait mode, smart beauty, night scene mode and 1080p video recording at 30 fps.

Under the hood, it comes with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset. It is a 5G ready chip clocked at 2.6 GHz max. And GPU used in this handset is ARM MAli-G77 MC9. The phone offers 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. There is no slot for external storage. It operates on ColorOS 11.1 based on latest Android 11.
