Oppo Nepal successfully launched a new budget smartphone: Oppo A54. This smartphone was globally launched last month. Now, it is officially available in Nepal with an unrealistic price tag. It does comes with old processor, still it has something to look on. Display and Design
First thing first, Oppo A54 presents a 6.51 inch IPS LCD display panel. The panel comes in HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and 270 ppi density. However, Oppo only provided 60Hz refresh rate on this. Moreover, it’s screen contains the punch hole setup for the camera on top left corner.
It measures 163.6 x 75.7 x 8.4 mm and weighs only 192 grams. Meanwhile, the design is somewhat we have seen on other Oppo phones as well. Meaning, rear contains a square camera setup with triple camera sensor on it. The fingerprint scanner is presented on the right side of the phone along with volume rocker buttons.

Looking out the bezels on tops and sides are thin but bottom chin is massively thick. But looks decent for a budget mid-ranger. Surprisingly, it comes with IPX4 rating for dust and water resistant. And, company didn’t forgot to place a 3.5mm headphone jack port in this.
Performance and Memory
The outdated processor, MediaTek’s Helio P35 is what we see on this smartphone. It might be old, but is one of the best chipset for a budget smartphone. The graphics section is handled by PowerVR GE8320 GPU. On top it runs on Android 10 and operates on ColorOS 7.2.
More about performance, it is built with 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM configured with 128 GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded using microSD card up to 256 GB.
Camera
Here, triple camera setup on rear holds a 13 MP primary lens. It comes with aperture of f/2.2 and PDAF. Accompanied by two 2 MP sensors; depth and Macro, both having f/2.4 aperture.
Similarly, the front punch hole setup hosts a 16 MP camera lens with f/2.0 aperture. This wide lens support HDR clicks and capable of recording video at 1080p resolution.
Battery and Miscellaneous
Most importantly, powering up the device is done by a massive 5,000 mAh battery. And this battery supports 18W fast charging from a USB Type-C cable. Meanwhile, it is quite nice to see a fast charge support on a budget phone.
