OnePlus once used to make flagship phones and slowly the brand started producing mid-range offerings (the Nord Series) also. And now the company has launched the OnePlus Nord N200 5G as one of the featured packed phones at midrange price. It is the successor to the Nord N100 launched last year. This phone shares similar specs to its predecessor like 13MP triple camera system on the rear, a 5,000mAh battery and more. Likewise, the biggest upgrade here is an inclusion of 5G all thanks to Snapdragon 480 SoC. Having said that, let’s find out more, what else the OnePlus Nord N200 5G has to offer.
OnePlus Nord N200 5G Overview
Display and Design
First things first, let’s talk about the design of the handset. The Nord N200 obtains the punch-hole display design as its previous generation. However, the rear has undergone some changes. The camera housing feels boxier and protrude more. The LED flash has been moved to the bottom. Similarly, the fingerprint sensor is now integrated with a power button and the back is clear except for OnePlus branding.
OnePlus Nord N200 5G has settled for a slightly smaller 6.49-inches display (vs 6.52-inches in N100). But the display features FHD+(up from HD+) resolution and it refreshes at a faster 90Hz rate. Moreover, the display technology is still the same, which means you are getting a LCD panel.
Performance and Memory
As I have mentioned earlier, the Nord N200 supports a fifth generation network which has been possible due to the Snapdragon 480 SoC. This 8nm chipset supports SA, NSA and Sub6 bands for 5G transmission.
Moreover, you will receive a healthy 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage along with a MicroSD slot for memory expansion.
Further, the phone operates on Android 11 with Oxygen OS 11 on top.
In terms of optics, OnePlus has packed them with the same triple camera sensors around the back. The main lens is a 13MP shooter supported by two 2MP lenses for macros and depths. But the front shooter has been upgraded from 8MP to 16MP.
The camera features includes HDR, macro, portrait mode, AI scene detection, nightscape, time-lapse, slow motion, and much more
Battery and Miscellaneous
The phone shares the same 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. And the charger brick is included in the box.
Other usual features are audio jack, dual SIM support, dual-band GPS, Bluetooth 5.1, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
