OnePlus Nord CE 5G with Snapdragon 750G, 90Hz display launched in Nepal

OnePlus Nord CE 5G has launched in Nepal. The CE here stands for Core Edition. The handset was officially unveiled on June 10 India, following that now it is official in Nepal as well. The handset comes with 90Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 750G chipset. However, this one is cheaper than the OnePlus Nord, as it has lot of changes. Display and Design

Starting with the display, the Nord Core Edition 5G packs a 6.43-inches panel with Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It is an AMOLED panel with support for up to 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. Similarly, as the original Nord, this one also has punch hole camera setup on front but not the dual. Yes, it’s a single camera punch hole.

The rear panel somewhat looks similar to the original Nord. It comes in Charcoal Ink, Blue Void and Silver Ray color options. Rear camera module is also similar as copies capsule shape. And there’s also a OnePlus branding in the center of the rear panel. For security it comes with face unlock and in-display fingerprint scanner.

Further, the handset is thinner than the original Nord, measuring 7.9 mm. But sadly, the handset comes with a plastic back (glass on the previous generation).

Performance and Memory

As mentioned at the beginning, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G chipset. This octa-core chipset is built on a 8 nm fabricant process. It features a CPU with two cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and remaining six cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The graphics section is handled by the Qualcomm Adreno 619 GPU.

Further, the chipset pairs with up to 6 GB, 8 GB and 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Which is configured with 128 GB and 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage onboard. Unfortunately, like Nord, this one also doesn’t come with an expandable card slot. UI and Software are handled by OxygenOS 11.1 on top of Android 11.

Camera

Coming to the optics, the handset features a single camera lens on its front. The punch hole holds a 16 MP Sony IMX471 lens for capturing selfies. Moreover, there is a triple camera setup on its rear. Here, the primary camera is a 64 MP sensor where the secondary camera is an 8 MP ultra wide lens with 119-degree field-of-view. Lastly the auxiliary camera is a 2 MP monochrome sensor.

The camera app comes with different photography features like night scene mode, time lapse, slow-motion video, UltraShot HDR, Portrait, Panorama, Pro mode, Smart scene recognition and Filters. Meanwhile, its rear camera can shoot up to 4K videos at 30/60fps and 1080p at 30/60fps with gyro-EIS. Also, slow-motion video at 120fps.

Battery and Miscellaneous

The Nord CE 5G is powered with a 4,500mAh battery with support for 30T Plus Warp charge. The company states that the phone gets 70% charged in just 30 minutes.

The other features available on the handset are dual nano-SIM with 5G support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, A-GPS, USB Type-C 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
