Alongside Nokia 2.4, Nokia 3.4 also went official at #OnlyGadgetYouNeed launch event. Both the devices are entry level offerings from HMD Global. However, Nokia 3.4 is a more advanced classy looking smartphone, successor to last year’s Nokia 3.2. The handset reminds us of the iconic Lumia 925 in terms of design. And the good news, they have slashed the price of Nokia 3.4. Let’s dive into the specs, features, price and availability of the Nokia 3.4 in Nepal.
The handset features a slightly bigger display than its predecessor and the 6.39” LCD panel now has a punch hole for the selfie. The 720p+ HD+ display has a peak brightness of 400 nits. It comes with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio while the Nokia logo found its place on the chin below the display.
The smartphone comes in beautiful colors and a nice looking body with metal frames. The rear panel comes with 3D Nano textured cover in combination with new Fjord and Dusk colors. There’s a circular camera module and just below it, lies a physical fingerprint scanner. Similarly, it comes with a dedicated Google Assistant button.
The circular camera housing hosts a triple camera teamed with a flash. The primary camera has 13MP sensor, secondary comes with 2MP depth sensor and tertiary 5MP ultra-wide lens. The camera module comes with Nokia’s new AI image processing as seen in Nokia 2.4. Therefore, you can use dedicated night mode and Portrait Editor on the handset. Upfront, there is a 8MP camera for selfies.
The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 460 chipset. It is an octa core processor with kryo 240 cores clocked at 1.8Ghz which HMD says is 70% faster than its Nokia 3.2. It comes with three memory configurations – 3+32GB, 3+64GB and 4+64GB options. All three variants support microSD cards up to 512GB.
On software front, the handset runs on Android 10 and is ready to make a jump to Android 11 in the future. Likewise, Android 12 is also guaranteed alongside an additional year of security patch.
The battery capacity sits at 4000mAh. Considering the efficient 11nm SoC and HD+ screen, it should be enough. It supports 10W charging using USB Type-C port which resides on the bottom of the device. Connectivity options available are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2. The NFC variant is available in some regions only.
