Along with the release of the first 5G smartphone from the company, HMD Global also unveiled two new entry level models. One of the themes is Nokia 2.4. The first Nokia 2 appeared in 2017 with two day battery life. The Nokia 2.4 retains signature 2-day battery life and brings improvements in overall features. Having said that, lets peek into specs, features and price of Nokia 2.4 in Nepal.
The handset is an attractive budget smartphone. It spots a LCD display which measures 6.5” diagonally. Compared to its predecessor Nokia 2.3 and its new sibling Nokia 3.4, it packs a bigger screen, tall aspect ratio and better resolution. It comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio with HD+ resolution and water drop notch on top. The device has some bezels of which Nokia branding covers lies on the bottom chin.
The design remains similar to the Nokia 2.3 but has a darker color palette. The chassis is made up of metal whereas its shell is built with polycarbonate material. The back has a nice 3D nano textured finish. The company says it will feel secure, solid and comfortable on hands. Similarly, the fingerprint sensor is located in the back panel just below the camera housing.
The pilled shaped camera housing on the back is a home for dual camera and a flash. You’ll get 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture accompanied with 2MP depth sensor. The setup offers a dedicated night mode with AI algorithms. Upfront the notch houses a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.4 lens.
The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 chipset. It is available in two memory configurations –one with 2GB of RAM with 32 GB of storage and another with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Both the models can be expanded up to 512GB via microSD.
The handset comes with Android 10 and falls under Android One program. Thus, you don’t have to experience any bloatware. If I am not mistaken it can be updated to Android 11 and Android 12 as it will receive 2 years of software updates. Similarly, it will also receive 3 years of monthly security updates.
The handset features a decent 4,500mAh non-removable battery. According to the company, it lasts for up to 2 days of usage on a single charge. Unfortunately, it only supports 5W charging. In addition, you can use face unlock to unlock the smartphone.
