Design and Display
First things first, at the first glance the smartwatch looks more like an old school analogue counterpart. The 46mm watch looks more premium as it uses sapphire glass for the watch face and framed bevels bend into the sculpted titanium body. Which means the watch is more durable than its younger siblings. It also defines the heavier weight of 52g (without strap) of the watch.
On the chassis’ right, there are two buttons which look like a rotating crown (they’re not). The top one takes you to the app list whereas the bottom one is customizable.
There are two variants of this watch, you can choose between Classic and Sport edition. There’s not much of a difference between the two. The only eminent difference is their straps. The sport version uses a Black Fluoroelastomer strap; on the Classic, you get a Gray Brown leather strap.
With the Watch GT2 Pro you’re looking at the 1.39” AMOLED display which produces resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. It supports more than 200 watch faces. On top of that it also comes with an always on feature.
The smartwatch measures 46 x 46.7 x 11.4 mm and brings 5ATM water resistant certification. You can swim with it on the swimming pool as well as on open water.
Performance and Features
Under the hood, the in-house Kirin A1 chip powers the Watch GT2 Pro as its other sibling in the lineup. With just only 32MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage the watch manages to deliver smooth performance and efficient battery life than before. Huawei has incredibly optimized the software on the Watch GT 2 Pro. However, if you want third-party apps on your wrist this isn’t the watch for you.
Like all of Huawei’s recent smartwatches, this runs on LiteOS, thus you get the same sports-focused user interface. There are over 100 workout modes supported, like new golf, skiing, snowboarding, climbing, outdoor running, rowing, surfing, tennis, etc. A lot of the focus has been placed on running, as there are more than 10 running courses.
Huawei has also included a new “Route Back” feature. It basically records the route users travelled and allows users to retrace steps back home using GPS data.
Moving on, it delivers improved heart rate monitoring with the company’s new TruSeen 4.0+ heart sensor. It uses machine learning algorithms to offer more accurate heart rate. Also, it comes with a SpO2 sensor that offers 24 hour SpO2 level monitoring.
On the other hand, Huawei TruSleep, analyses sleep stages and offers 200+ personalized insights into sleep data. Users get a breakdown of sleep stages every night, with deep, REM and light sleep tracked and a single sleep score too.
Besides that, the smartwatch also tracks the daily stress. It tracks the stress via the heart rate and gives daily scores out of 100. Users can also monitor VO2 Max and measure their cardiovascular endurance. For those unwdare,VO2 Max is the maximum rate of oxygen consumption measured during incremental exercise.

The Huawei Watch GT2 Pro is stated to last 14 days on a single charge with its 455mAh battery. It is the first watch from Huawei to feature wireless charging. Meaning the magnetic plate lets you charge the watch with any wireless pad and reverse charge supported smartphones. With 5 minutes of wireless quick charge, you get 10 hours of usage.
For connectivity the Watch GT2 Pro uses Bluetooth v5.1 and provides stable connection within 10m range. Sadly, it doesn’t support Wi-Fi connections.
Lastly, there’s also a built-in speaker and microphone for calls. You can aloo view the call history. It can aslo be used as a music controller and camera shutter.
