Honor 50 Pro price in Nepal

Honor held a new product launch conference yesterday (June 16) in Shanghai and launched a brand new Honor 50 series and Honor Earbuds 2 SE. The series includes Honor 50, Honor 50 SE, and the Honor 50 Pro. Here let’s go through the Honor 50 Pro specs, features, and price along with its availability in Nepal.

Honor 50 Pro Overview

Display and Design

Here, the Honor 50 Pro features a 6.72-inch dual punch-hole display. The punch hole is placed at the top left corner of the screen.  It is a 75-degree super-curved screen using an OLED panel. The curvature provides a better grip and a more immersive visual experience. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. Honor makes use of dynamic intelligent refresh rate adjustment and static scene switching to save battery life. Further, the screen supports 1.07 billion colors, and DCI-P3 100% wide color gamut, hardware-level dimming, through the German TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.

The back design of the Honor 50 Pro adopts a unique dual-mirror design whereas the camera module is inspired by Rollei’s double-reflex cameras. The main camera lens flaunts a ring design like a metal ring which is very unique and eye-catching according to me.  Similarly, the color scheme of the handset also interests me in particular with the snow crystal option, warm summer amber, cool jade green, and classic bright black color options

Performance and Memory

In its core, the handset packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Actually, it is the first smartphone in the world to feature this brand new chipset build on a 6nm node. The CPU consists of four 2.4Ghz A78 large core + four 1.8Hz A55 small core, GPU integrated Adreno 642L. Compared to the previous generation this new chipset comes with a 45% improvement in performance and graphics rendering

Apart from that, the handset brings the familiar GPU Turbo X and LINK Turbo for the first time in the Snapdragon platform. GPU Turbo X allows this smartphone to achieve a full-frame experience of popular games. Likewise, LINK Turbo technology enables dual-SIM dual-WLAN four-network intelligent collaboration. It offers better connections under complex networks, lowers latency, and a smoother experience.

In addition, these phone comes with 8GB / 12GB of RAM and a single 256GB variant of ROM. It runs on Magic UI 4.2 based on top of Android 11. Further, the Global versions will ship with GMS support out-of-the-box.

Camera

As I have mentioned earlier, the handset comes with a dual punch hole setup so obviously, it houses a dual selfie camera. To be specific, the main camera is a 32MP lens and the secondary camera is a 12MP ultra-wide lens. This sensor allows you to shoot 100-degree ultra-wide-angle video shooting and Selfie super night scene functions

On the rear camera housing similar to Cartier’s ring design highlights a 108MP ISOCELL HM2 sensor. It is a 1/1.52-inch sensor that uses a 9-in-1 pixel binning and captures 12MP shots by default. And the rest of the setup includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera and two auxiliary sensors of 2MP each for macros and depth. And it is disappointing to see these gimmicky 2Mp sensors in the upper mid-range phone like this.

Moving on, the brand uses the underlying design of multi-channel video architecture focusing on one-stop Vlog video shooting. As a result, the mobile phone supports six multi-lens video shooting modes including “fast-slow motion resuming” and “single and double lens resuming”.

Battery and Miscellaneous

The Honor 50 Pro is backed by a decent 4000mAh battery capacity given that it supports 100W super-fast wired charging. According to the official, it only takes 20minutes to charge the phone to 90%.

Moreover, the handset makes use of an optical fingerprint sensor as well as face unlock for security. It features 3 Mic directional noise reduction. You also get support for NFC.

Lastly, the Honor 50 Pro packs a dual VC liquid cooling along with high thermal conductivity graphene.
