The Syakar Trading Company Pvt. Ltd. is the authorized distributor of Honda bikes in Nepal. Honda Nepal will soon launch this bike in Nepal too. Honda Hornet 2.0 was also launched as soon as possible after India’s launch. So, let’s take a quick look around with the bike’s specifications, features, and expected price of Honda CB200X in Nepal with its availability.
Honda CB200X Overview
The all-new CB200X looks like a proper ADV bike. It resembles somewhat of the Honda CB500X but has most of the look from Honda Hornet 2.0. The first thing we can notice in this ADV bike is the headlight, it is similar to the headlamp we got to see on Hornet 2.0. But this one has a fairing attached to it connected with the tank. The side fairing looks like it is derived from CB500x with slight changes. And the stylish windshield suits the bike but we have seen ADV bikes with long windshields.
Moving on the handlebar position makes the rider’s posture upright. And it will be easier to ride even while standing. Then it has an upside-down long telescopic fork on the front wheel. However, most people might prefer spoke wheels in adv bikes but this has an alloy wheel. The rear is provided with a mono-shock absorber.
And we can see a grab rail on the rear side exactly after the seat. Even the seat is split seat and the tank is also similar to Hornet 2.0. More on looks, it has a knuckle guard on the handlebar.
It has the same engine as the Hornet 2.0 which is a 184.4 cc BS6, SI engine. It is a 4-stroke, 2-valve, single-cylinder, and air-cooled which can generate a max power of 17.26 PS @ 8500 RPM and max torque of 16.1 Nm @ 6000 RPM.
Moreover, CB200X has a 5-speed manual transmission and it comes with PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) fuel system. This fuel system is seen on few selected models of Honda only. Also, it will give a range of 30-35 Km/l having 12l of the fuel tank.
Dimension, Suspensions, Wheels and Brakes
Being an ADV bike, it has a slight change in dimensions over Hornet’s dimension. So, it is 843mm as the handlebar is wider than in the Hornet and is more heightened at 1248 mm. however, wheelbase and ground clearance are the same i.e., 1355mm and 167mm respectively. Also, firings on the bike have added few kgs, now it is 147 Kg.
As mentioned earlier, it has an upside-down telescopic fork on the front and the rear is provided with mono-shock. The wheels are alloy on this bike and both are 17-inch wheels. And it comes with a 110/70-17” M/C 54S tubeless tyre on the front. Whereas, rear tyre measures 140/70-17” M/C 66S which is also tubeless. Alongside, it is given out disc brakes on both wheels. The front disc measure 276mm and the rear one measure 220mm. Moreover, it has a single channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) on the front brake.
Features and Miscellaneous
It features a digital cluster on the dash same as on the hornet 2.0. It has an engine kill switch which we don’t normally see on Honda bikes. Then it has self-start only. The pre-installed knuckle guard with a side indicator in it.
