Mobile World Congress (MWC), the world’s largest mobile phone showcase has been cancelled due to corona virus. MWC 2020 was supposed to held at Barcelona, Spain from Feburary 24 to 27, but because of fears considering the spread of corona virus the event has been cancelled, organizer have confirmed.

Over the couple of weeks high profile exhibitors like Amazon, LG, Sony, Nokia, Vodafone. Also others have been canceling their MWC 2020 or pre-MWC events citing coron avirus fears. The GSM Association (GSMA), which organizes MWC has backed off. Every year more than 100,000 people from various part of the world takes part in the event, an average of 6,000 from China.
The most waited devices like Huawei Mate XS, Xiaomi Mi 10, TCL 10 series, Motorola Edge+, Realme X50 Pro. And also many more was supposed to launch in this event. Some of the companies that were planning to hold launches. At the show will option to announce the devices through press releases or video streaming. Other may postpone the launches and may organizes press events at later this year.
The GSMA says it is looking to host MWC 2021 in Barcelona as Barcelona has been the home for the annual trade fair since 2006.
