Aprilia SXR 160 Overview
Design
The SXR 160 is a maxi scooter which is huge and powerful than other normal scooters. It looks heavier but weighs only 129 Kgs. It has aggressive looking LED headlights with DRLs. Moreover, it has a big windshield visor in front. If compared with other maxi scooters that are currently available in Nepal, Aprilia SXR is a straight competition for them. It has a huge storage capacity under the seat.
Engine
So, Aprilia SXR 160 has a 160.3 cc displacement with max power of 10.9 PS @ 7100 RPM and max torque of 11.6 Nm @ 6000 RPM. It is a single cylinder liquid cooled, SOHC, 3 valves, belt drive engine. And of course, it is a BS6 compliant engine.
We normally hear about the FI (Fuel Injection) system on motor bikes. But somewhat like other maxi scooters, this one also comes with the FI system engine. Talking about the fuel, the fuel tank capacity is 7 liters only. Where it might look like it has a smaller fuel tank compared to the scooter size. But compared to the Suzuki Burgman 125, it has 5.5 liters only and the Yamaha’s NMAX 155 has 6.6 liters.
Wheels and Suspensions
The SXR 160 comes with 12-inch Aluminum alloy wheels. Both front and rear wheel comes with 120/70-R12 size tires. Moreover, it comes with a 30mm telescopic fork whereas the rear is built with left aligned mono suspension.
Braking
Moving to the safety features, the front is provided with disc brake which is compiled with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). However, the rear comes with a drum brake and obviously no ABS feature. The front disc measures 220 mm in diameter. Similarly, the rear drum measures 140 mm in diameter.

This scooter has many features, one of them is single channel ABS. Others are LCD digital consoles, LED lights, Bluetooth, Charging point and many more. It shows all the indicators digitally on the console.
