Design and Display
The iPhone 12 offers the same 6.1″ display as the Pro version. This is also an OLED panel with FHD+ resolution. Even the iPhone 12 has the same 1170 x 2532 pixels resolution.
Apple’s classic notch style for the front camera placement and earpiece including sensors is there. It has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio with 460 PPI pixels. Furthermore, it supports HDR10 with typical 625 nits of brightness which can be peaked at 1200 nits. Users will experience true-tone color on display.
Talking about the design, it features dual-camera modules on the rear. The volume rocker buttons are placed on the left side of the phone. Whereas the Power button is placed on the right side of the phone as it has always been. There is a lightning charging port on the bottom and speaker grill as well.
iPhone 12 comes with IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance up to 6 meters for 30 minutes. Also, front and back glass are both Gorilla Glass which also has an Oleophobic coating for scratch resistance. The frame is made up of Aluminum steel.
Performance and Memory
Moving on to the performance, Apple’s processor has always been the best. The device comes with Apple’s A14 Bionic chip. They both have the same number of CPU’s i.e. Hexa-core CPU with Apple GPU of 4-core graphics. The latest iOS version 14 is mentioned on the phones.
Till here, the specs are all the same compared with Pro. Moving on, the standard iPhone 12 comes with the base variant of 64 GB. Then there is 128 GB and then 256 GB. Also, the RAM i=configuration n is lower than the Pro segment. So, it has 4 GB of RAM.
Camera
The square camera setup on the rear offers a dual camera lens. The rear primary lens is 12 MP with f/1.6 aperture which features dual pixel pre-defined autofocus. The second lens is also 12 MP but this one is an ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. Ultra-wide lens can give a 120Ëš field of view. There is a Quad-LED dual-tone flash provided on the rear as well.
On the front, the device sets a 12 MP lens having an f/2.2 aperture. The front camera is capable of capturing portrait modes with bokeh and depth control. It is also provided with an SL 3D sensor for depth sensing.
Battery and Others
This model comes with a battery of 2,815 mAh. Where a company claims, 17 hours of standby time on multimedia. It supports 20W fast wired charging with USB Power Delivery 2.0. And, comes with wireless charge support of 15W.
Other Features are 5G connectivity options and a dual Nano-SIM slot. Also, it features Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, FaceID, NFC, and many more.

Apple iPhone 12 is available in five color options: Black, White, Red, Green, Blue.
The pricing starts at $799 for the base 64 GB variant. Then $849 for 128 GB variant and $949 for 256 GB variant. Similarly, the price of the Apple iPhone 12 in Nepal was Rs. 1,33,900 for 64 GB which is now cut down to Rs. 1,28,900. Similarly, Rs. 1,41,900 for 128 GB which is now Rs. 1,38,900. Then comes the top tier variant 256 GB which was Rs. 1,57,900 and now Rs. 1,54,900.
