iPad Air 4 (2020) with Apple A14 Bionic Launch in Nepal

During the first event held in September (Time Flies event), Apple launched the new iPad Air 4 and iPad 10.2. However, the 8th gen iPad has already launched in Nepal and now The Air 4 is soon to be launch. So, let’s learn about the specs, features and expected price of iPad Air 4th Gen (2020) in Nepal with availability.

Apple iPad Air 4 (2020) Overview

Display and Design

The all new 4th gen iPad Air comes with larger screen than it predecessor. It has 10.9″ Liquid Retina IPS LCD display panel. This display has a resolution of 2360 x 1640 pixels and offers 264 PPI pixel density. Also, the panel supports first-generation of Apple-Pencil and has an oleophobic coating on top to avoid fingerprints and reflection. Also, it supports True Tone and Wide Color (P3).

Compared to predecessor, the design has lot of changes. The home button is removed in 2020 iPad Air making the bezel thin. Bezels around the screen are thin and somewhat measures same in all side. The aluminum body features rounded edges and comes in five color finishes named silver, space grey, green, sky blue and rose gold.

Moreover, it look more sturdy than the predecessors. The rear panel has no curve on edges. In addition, it’s a flat device like iPhone 12 Series. As the home button is not present, the Touch ID is mounted over top right side of the device. Similarly, it’s dimension is 247.6 x 178.5 x 6.1 mm and are available in two versions. The Wi-Fi only version weighs around 458 gm while the Wi-Fi + Cellular model is 2 gm heavier.

Performance and Memory

Under the performance, the tablet runs on the new Apple’s A14 Bionic chipset. It is the latest 5nm chipset. The chipset obviously offers faster performance than its predecessor. This chipset not only brings the faster performance but also brings the new “16-core Neural Engine”. Furthermore, Hexa-Core CPU is present and 4-core graphics Apple GPU is there.

Meanwhile, 4th gen iPad Air also comes with same two storage configurations: 64 GB and 256 GB. Also, the memory is also upgraded to 4 GB from 3 GB.

Camera

Moving on, there’s a small upgrade on rear camera lens while front is unchanged. It now comes with the 12 MP wide sensor with f/1.8 aperture. It is capable of recording 1080p footage at 30, 60, 120 and even 240 fps. However, the 120 an 240 fps is for slo-mo recording. It also has the video stabilization feature with help of gyro-EIS.

On the front, no changes with the 7 MP shooter. And it has an aperture of f/2.2. Now, it can record 1080p at 30 and 60 fps. While predecessor was only able to capture at 30 fps.

Battery and Miscellaneous

The tablet comes with 28.6 Watt-hour battery. The battery can last up to 10 hours on web surfing (on Wi-Fi) or up to 9 hours on a cellular data network. It comes with USB Type-C Port to charge on. And it supports 20W fast charge which comes inside the box.

Apple iPad Air 4 2020 will soon be available in Nepal with price starting at Rs. 95,000. It will be available in this month, most probably on 3rd week of December. It will be available in Olizstore and as well as Evostore.
